A development specialist, academic, consultant and trainer, Emele has exceptional knowledge of gender and development issues in the Pacific region, having served in senior roles including CEO of the Fiji Ministry for Women, Social Welfare and Poverty Alleviation and Head of the Pacific Women’s Resource Bureau for the Secretariat of the Pacific Community.

A former High School teacher for 12 years, Ms Vereti first joined the NGO sector as a volunteer with the Fiji Council of Social Services for many years before taking up the position of an Executive Assistant/Program Officer involved with programmes at the national, district and community level with training, interviews, consultations. She is a keen researcher, have conducted research for Oxfam Australia and C-POND with the Fiji School of Medicine.

Colati has worked with PIANGO for some time. Prior to joining PIANGO, she worked as a civil servant in the Fiji Public Service for 20 years from 1977 to 2007 as a Finance Officer to the level of Senior Accounts Officer. She joined PIANGO for about a year from September 2007 to July 2008 as the PIANGO Finance Officer, then joined the Fiji YWCA for 2 years from March 2009 to April 2011 as Finance/Project Officer. She returned to PIANGO in July last year as Finance Officer.

Don is NZ based (Christchurch) and was first involved with PIANGO in 1998 when the Development Resource Centre (DRC), Wellington and PlaNet NZ collaborated to produce NZ to produce the first Pacific Development Directory. Don has a wide range of interests and is motivated by fairness and social justice. Initially a lawyer, in 1991 he joined George Porter at the Pacific Institute of Resource Management. From 1994 he was with PlaNet NZ, New Zealand's first non-profit community Internet providers. He managed Converge, New Zealand's first free NGO community sites portal, and served as Member Services Director for the Association for Progressive Communications. From 2000 he worked with DRC as Chief Technologist to build Dev-Zone and the Global Education center.
